Ego-Development affects the foundation of personality. The Ego is the process that structures and gives meaning to all inner and outer experiences.

This covers different areas such as evaluation of complex situations, interaction with other people, the central level of motivation, or conscious preoccupations.

Ego Development takes place over a set number of qualitatively different stages. With each further stage people can view and approach themselves and their environment with more agility.
